Group Hike | March 2016 – Arizona Hikers Guide

This month we are going to host a sunrise hike to the most iconic rock formation in the Superstition Wilderness area; Weavers Needle.  This hike leads us through beautiful desert landscape and rewards us with an incredible view of the 1000 ft. high rock column and the surrounding valley via Fremont Saddle.

Peralta Trail

  • Length:  4.9 miles (round trip)
  • Trailhead Elevation:  2,400 ft.
  • Gain/Loss:  +1380 ft.
  • Difficulty: Moderate
  • Rating: 7/10
  • Solitude: Low
  • Season: Spring/Summer (Mornings)/Fall/Winter
  • Dog Friendly: Yes

Other notables:

  • Bring a camera and a friend, you won’t want to miss this hike!
  • The hike can be strenuous at times and will require a person to be physically fit

This hike is for anyone and for everyone that would like to join us.  There is no membership or fees or signup.  There is also no requirement to RSVP but it is nice to get a head count so we can be prepared. You can do so in the comments below or on our Instagram Post.  Our last event had over 40 hikers which was awesome!  We can’t wait to meet new friends and to get out and hike.
